What a standard house cleaning actually covers

Standard cleaning is surface and hygiene work across the whole house. It keeps a home that is already in reasonable condition from sliding, and it is the service almost every recurring schedule is built on.

The distinction that matters is between cleaning a surface and resetting it. A standard visit cleans the counter, the sink, the toilet, the shower walls, the mirrors, the visible floors and the touch points people actually put their hands on. It does not pull the oven apart, hand-wipe every baseboard in the house, or lift built-up mineral scale off a glass shower door — that is deep cleaning, and it is a different job with a different amount of time behind it.

If nobody has cleaned the house professionally in a while, the first visit usually needs to be a deep clean. After that, standard visits hold the line. We will tell you which one your home needs rather than booking the cheaper option and running out of time halfway through.

Room by room

Included in a standard visit

The same list runs on every standard visit, in the same order, top to bottom so nothing that has already been cleaned gets dusted onto again.

Kitchen
  • Counters and backsplash wiped down
  • Sink scrubbed, faucet and fixtures polished
  • Cooktop and range front cleaned
  • Exterior of appliances, including handles
  • Microwave inside and out
  • Cabinet fronts spot-cleaned around handles
  • Table and chairs wiped
  • Trash emptied and liner replaced
Bathrooms
  • Toilet cleaned inside, outside, base and behind
  • Shower and tub walls, door and track
  • Sink, counter and fixtures
  • Mirrors cleaned streak-free
  • Towel bars and switch plates wiped
  • Floors cleaned along edges, not just the middle
Bedrooms and living areas
  • Dusting of reachable surfaces and furniture
  • Beds made, or linens changed if left out
  • Mirrors and glass tabletops
  • Light switches, door handles and door frames
  • Ceiling fan blades wiped when reachable
  • Under reachable furniture, not only around it
Floors and shared space
  • Vacuuming of carpet, rugs and hard floors
  • Mopping of tile, wood, vinyl plank and laminate
  • Stairs vacuumed including the edges of each tread
  • Entry mats and thresholds
  • Baseboards spot-cleaned where marked
  • Cobwebs removed from reachable corners

Anything outside this list is quotable as an add-on — inside the oven, inside the refrigerator, interior windows, laundry, or wall washing. Ask when you book and we will build it into the visit length rather than squeezing it in.

How the visit runs

Top down, wet last, edges included

Cleaners work from the highest surface in a room to the lowest, so dust that gets disturbed lands on something that has not been cleaned yet. Dry work happens before wet work, and floors are the last thing anyone touches — the crew works backward toward the door instead of walking over what has just been mopped.

Edges are where most cleaning gets skipped, because they are slow and nobody looks at them during a walk-through. We treat the perimeter of a floor, the corner of a shower pan and the back rim of a toilet as part of the job, not extras.

Cloths are separated by area. The cloth used in a bathroom does not travel to a kitchen counter.

  • Uniformed cleaners who are background-checked before a first visit
  • Supplies and equipment brought with us unless you prefer your own products
  • Same crew on a recurring schedule wherever the route allows

Scheduling

What changes how long a house takes

Two houses with the same square footage can need very different amounts of time. These are the things that actually move the number.

Bathrooms, not bedrooms

Bathrooms are the slowest rooms in any house. A three-bedroom, three-bathroom home takes longer than a four-bedroom, two-bathroom home of the same size.

Time since the last clean

A home cleaned two weeks ago is a maintenance job. A home cleaned eight months ago needs a reset first, and that is a different service.

Surfaces underfoot

Tile with grout lines, luxury vinyl plank and long stretches of hardwood all take longer than a carpeted floor of the same area.

Pets in the house

Shedding coats put hair into baseboard edges, stair treads and upholstery seams. It is workable, it just needs to be planned for.

How much is on the surfaces

Cleaning around objects is slower than cleaning an open counter. We are happy to work around your things — it simply takes more time.

Hard water in North Texas

Mineral spotting builds on glass, chrome and stainless throughout Tarrant County. Standard visits keep it down; heavy buildup needs deep-clean time.

We quote on the property, not on a chart. Costs are shaped by size, condition, bathroom count, service type and frequency — see what house cleaning costs in Fort Worth for how those pieces fit together.

Booking a recurring schedule lowers the rate permanently

Weekly service carries 20% off, biweekly 15% off and monthly 10% off. These are standing discounts tied to the schedule, not introductory pricing, and they hold for as long as the schedule runs.

You can start with a single visit and move to a schedule afterward if it suits you.

Questions

About standard visits

Do I need to be home while you clean?
No. Most customers on a schedule give us a code, a lockbox or a garage entry and go about their day. If you would rather be there for the first visit so you can walk the house with the crew, that works too.
Should I tidy up before you arrive?
Clear surfaces get cleaned better than cluttered ones, so picking up clothes, toys and paperwork helps. You do not need to clean before we come — that would defeat the purpose. Just put away anything you would rather we did not move.
Do you bring your own supplies?
Yes, cleaners arrive with supplies and equipment. If you have a product you want used on a specific surface — a particular sealed-stone cleaner, for instance — leave it out and tell us, and we will use it there.
Can you change the bed linens?
Yes. Leave fresh linens on the bed and we will strip and remake it as part of the visit.
What if something is missed?
Tell us within 24 hours and we return to address that area at no additional cleaning charge, subject to the terms of the satisfaction guarantee. Point at the specific spot rather than the whole room and we can fix it quickly.
