- My builder said the house was professionally cleaned. Do I still need a move-in clean?
- Usually yes. Builder handover cleans are surface passes aimed at the walk-through. They rarely cover the inside of cabinetry, the inside of appliances or closet floors, and fine construction dust continues settling after they leave.
- How soon after closing should I book?
- Ideally the day you get keys or the day after, and before furniture delivery. The empty-property window is short and it is the only time some of the scope is reachable.
- Why do my new floors look dusty two days after cleaning?
- Luxury vinyl plank and similar hard floors show everything, particularly in an open plan with a lot of natural light. It is a property of the surface rather than a cleaning problem, and it is the main reason new-build households often choose a shorter interval than they expected.
