Airbnb cleaning vs regular house cleaning
Hosts sometimes book a standard house clean for a turnover and are surprised when a guest complains. The two jobs share most of their tasks and almost none of their priorities.

Residents forgive; guests inspect
People who live somewhere stop seeing it. A hair on the bathroom baseboard, a smudge on a mirror, a crumb in a drawer — a resident walks past all of those for weeks without registering them.
A guest arrives with completely fresh eyes, opens things a resident would not, and has a financial reason to notice. Hair is the single most reported problem in short-term rental reviews, and it is almost never on the floor — it is in the shower corner, on the bathroom baseboard, at the foot corner of a bed and under a toilet rim.
That difference in observer is the whole reason turnover cleaning exists as a separate service. It is not that turnovers are cleaned better in the abstract; it is that they are cleaned against a different standard of inspection.

What a turnover adds that a house clean does not
- A checked-off sweep of drawers, nightstands, shower caddies and the refrigerator for anything the last guest left
- Appliance interiors that guests actually use — microwave, coffee maker, toaster
- Consumable checks and restocking from stock the host supplies
- Mattress protector and linen condition checks, reported before the next arrival
- A final look at each room from the doorway, the way a guest first sees it
- Confirmation that the property has been released, so the host is not guessing
What we do not provide for hosts
We clean and reset. We do not offer linen rental, inventory ownership, restocking supply, or property management. You supply the linens and consumables; we place them and tell you when stock is running low.
That boundary is worth checking with any provider. Some hosts assume a cleaning company is managing their inventory until the day it runs out.

Common questions
- Can I just book a regular house clean for my rental?
- You can, but the scope will not include the leftovers sweep, the staging or the reporting, and the visit will not be planned around a check-in deadline. For an occasional deeper reset between busy periods it is fine; for a guest changeover it is not the right service.
- Do turnovers cost more than a house clean?
- It depends on the property and the frequency rather than the label. Turnovers are usually smaller in scope per visit but happen far more often and carry deadline constraints, so they are quoted as a schedule rather than as single visits.
- How much time does a turnover need?
- It depends on size and how much staging is involved. Tell us the checkout and check-in times and we will tell you honestly whether the window works. Very tight windows on larger properties are worth discussing before accepting a booking.
- Do you also clean long-term rentals?
