What it costs
How much does deep cleaning cost in Fort Worth?
The unusual thing about deep-clean pricing is that two identical houses can be quoted very differently, because the variable that matters most is how much there is to remove.

Condition is the price, not size
On a standard visit, square footage and bathroom count get you most of the way to a sensible estimate. On a deep clean they do not, because the work is removal rather than maintenance — and how much there is to remove depends entirely on history.
A 2,200 sq ft home cleaned professionally every two weeks for three years needs a fairly light deep clean, mostly high dusting and detail. The same house after four years of nobody cleaning the shower glass, the range hood or the baseboards is a substantially bigger job. Same floor plan, very different quote.
Where the hours actually go
In a typical Fort Worth deep clean, these five areas absorb most of the additional time over a standard visit.
Hard-water scale
Shower glass, chrome, faucet bases and stainless. North Texas water builds deposits fast, and removal needs product plus dwell time rather than effort. On an untreated enclosure this can be an hour on its own.
Kitchen grease film
Cabinet fronts above and beside the range, the hood, the wall behind the cooktop, burner grates and knobs. Cooking oil aerosolizes, settles, and collects dust as it goes.
Grout
Shower walls, pans and floor lines. Responds to technique and patience; punishes aggressive scrubbing. Slow work by nature.
Baseboards and trim
Hand-wiping every baseboard, door frame and door top in a whole house is a substantial block of time and it is the item most often quietly dropped from a rushed job.
Blinds, sills and vents
Slat by slat, plus window tracks and return-air grilles. In Fort Worth these load faster than most people expect because of the long pollen season and near-constant AC use.
Under and behind furniture
Moving what can safely be moved, cleaning, and putting it back. Time-consuming and completely invisible if it is skipped.
Add-ons that are usually quoted separately
Two items are almost always separate from a deep clean, because each can take an hour on its own and absorbing them into a fixed scope means shortchanging something else.
- Inside the oven. Baked-on residue needs product and dwell time. A heavily used oven can take an hour.
- Inside the refrigerator. Shelves, drawers and door seals, with everything removed and replaced.
- Interior windows. Glass, frames, sills and tracks throughout a whole house.
- Wall washing. Different from spot-cleaning marks, and priced as its own job.
- Laundry. Some companies include a load; most do not.
How to avoid paying for a deep clean you do not need
Check four things: does shower glass look cloudy or just spotted; do cabinet fronts near the range feel slightly tacky; can you write in the dust on a vent grille; when was it last cleaned professionally.
If the answers are spotted, no, no and within two months — book a standard visit. A good company will tell you the same thing. Read standard vs deep cleaning for the full test.
Deep cleaning one or two rooms instead of the whole house
Kitchens and primary bathrooms hold most of the buildup in a typical home, and they are the two rooms most often booked on their own. If your budget will not stretch to a whole-house deep clean, those two are where the money goes furthest.
The rest of the house can then be brought up on a recurring schedule, which carries a standing 20%, 15% or 10% discount depending on frequency. That path costs less overall than a full deep clean and produces a similar outcome over a couple of months — it just takes longer to get there.
Questions
Common questions
- How much more is deep cleaning than a standard visit?
- It commonly runs two to three times the hours of a standard visit, but condition drives it. A well-maintained home needing an annual reset sits at the low end; a home that has gone years sits well above it.
- How often does a home need a deep clean?
- Roughly annually if the home is on a weekly or biweekly schedule — most people time it to the back end of spring pollen season. Less frequently cleaned homes usually want one every six months.
- Will a deep clean remove hard-water stains completely?
- It removes the deposit and restores clarity in most cases. Where untreated water has been sitting on glass for years, some etching can be permanent — that is damage to the glass itself rather than something sitting on top of it.
- Do I need a deep clean before starting a recurring schedule?
- If the home has not been cleaned professionally in six months or more, yes. Otherwise the first several scheduled visits spend their time on backlog rather than on maintenance.
